As I sometimes reflect on the lessons I decided that I would require this for people wishing to read them, but I do like to share them and notice I have many visits from people looking for lesson plans. There are some great sites in my links you will enjoy accessing, so don’t forget to look down the side of the site.
Within my posts I often put other links that I have found useful. I may do a public reflection post on the whole year to share- a kind of summary so look out for that one. My latest resource purchase has been a series of Anticolouring books, which are useful for all sorts of teaching projects, art, maths, imaginative thinking, and spiritual education. I must review that and recommend them to you! I was so excited to look through them as I ordered them on line.

By the way many of my lesson plans are of course based on the Ruhi Resources, or on the Peace Pack series, but I do like all teachers, adapt and collect additional resources, like stories, games, black line masters, and a method of delivering the classes that suits my students – and I am also writing original songs for my students to learn on themes like Thankfulness etc.

i’m a new bahai, tha is from year 2004, and i’m not a teacher for children class. i’ve got the ruhi book and the small workbook for the kids ad i’m also a trainee teacher. today its my second lass with the 3 kids of the children class of which one is 3yrs, one 4yrs and one nearly 5yrs. in my first class, i’ve been able to talk abt unity to the kids and i’ve also done the activity suggested in the book. what i would like to know is how to relate the kids world with the theme and story of the book.

Okay Nandita I read your question and maybe you can think of times when children have to find unity and harmony with people who may be different from them, it could be in their own family, at school or with their neigbours.
Looking closely at that story from Abdul-Baha who used love and wisdom to create unity, has there been any time in the children’s lives in which they could do that- think of a concrete example suitable for their age…
Maybe even you could use the image in the writings of unity in diversity like a garden and they would at that age relate to that quite well- ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO HELP NANDITA OUT POST HERE.

I am originally from Malaysia, married to an American and currently reside in Columbia, MO I homepreschool my little guy and wished so much to incorporate studies of our Faith into his home curriculum. A few youth and young adults in my community in Melbourne decided to come up with lesson plans for the year to provide to teachers for the school we have BEC at. On another matter. I am doing an assignment for a Post Grad diploma (Information Science). Assignment is about proposal for development of an online community site – using online technologies such as blogs, wikis, forums, etc. Am interested in the idea of some sort of site where Baha’is can share their ideas for BESS / SRE teaching, teaching children (in general) junior youth education, etc – like you do – but which has ability to have blogs, wikis &/or forums – or people can just look/lurk and download material – also, share links to established sites like yours.

Dear Bahai friends,
Alláh’u’abhá! A few months ago I was desperately seeking some new and fun curriculum to engage the children in my class here in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. I could not find anything that suited me and ended up creating my own curriculum. My class has grown from 5 bored kids to 24 excited children who can’t wait to come to class (and it is not just them—I am also having a lot of fun).
Essentially the idea is that we create a new country (we called our country “Unitaria”) and we all play the part of a Baha’i pioneer from another land. For example one child chose the identity “Oliver Oken, Musician from Canada, age 23 years”. Another child chose the identity “Jet Li, King Fu Master from China, age 28 years”. We started out the year by “building” our own Bahai Center, making a sign and electing our LSA. Every so often we invite people from “other countries” to come to our class and give a talk on a particular topic.
We are having so much fun and really enjoying our class and I want to share this with other teachers. The curriculum is for 50 weeks and of course would need to be adjusted according to the time that class starts.
I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE MY CURRICULUM WITH YOU—HOW CAN I DO THAT?
